I was working on a collab when I suddenly heard “Carry On My Wayward Son” play in the background…so I ended up sketching this. ;_;

No problem! :)
When I do soft shading I usually start out with the Pen tool first then I soften it up with a Brush tool. Although sometimes I would just use the Marker tool/Brush tool (set as fine/rough flat) if I want to achieve a watercolor and/or painterly style. And, oh! For cell shading I prefer to use the Fringe effect. xD
Sorry if I wasn’t so helpful…it’s hard for me to describe my coloring style, that’s why. >_<; But if you have specific questions you want to ask about it, feel free to do so. I’ll try to answer them to the best of my abilities! As you guys remember I have to use this one piece of artwork in all three pieces…I’m kind of nervous about whether I managed to incorporate it in the pic in a unique way or not. OTL;;
#1: Design a musical/band poster your character had in their youth.
Puzzled is a made up musical, just so you know, lol. I usually associate youth to pop/bright colors. The puzzle piece was inspired by the way Absolute Vodka did their ads. (Sorry, I’m bad with graphic design stuff…)
#2: Design a self-portrait your character had as an adult.
I imagine her as a florist when she’s grown up, so I drew flowers around her face. I also airbrushed everything except the face to keep the focal point sharp/brighter. I’m so into 50’s fashion/hairstyle so much. ;^;
#3: Design the wallpaper you character has or will have in their retirement home.
I wanted to keep the red/green to carry on her florist background. I tried to make it somewhat vintage.
I’m so nervous, you guys. ;_;
